As reported in the October 21, 2015 edition of the Cass County Sun, the City of Linden and the Linden Heritage Foundation signed a Resolution to help preserve the City’s historic 1934 Horton Water Tank.

Special Meeting of Linden City Council – Water Tower Update on Agenda

A Special Meeting of the Linden City Council has been called for Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Mary Daughety Senior Citizens Center on South Kaufman.  Linden Heritage Foundation President, Sam Higdon, will report on Foundation efforts for historic landmark status of the water tower and fire house and plans for future development. The City will discuss and take action on the “air gap” of the 1934 water tower and replacement of its anchor bolt(s).  If you wish to make remarks during the public comment agenda item, be sure to arrive at least 5 minutes early so you can sign the Public Comment list.

Welcome Reception for Emily Henderson

The public is invited to meet and greet the new Executive Director of the Linden Economic Development Corporation, Emily Braswell Henderson, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Music City Texas Theater.

Emily is the daughter of Wanda and Derrol Baldwin of Linden. She graduated from Linden Kildare High School in 1972, holds degrees in English and Urban and Regional Planning from Texas A&M University, and brings 33 years of experience in community affairs, environmental and transportation planning, conflict resolution, and economic development.
